Sequence of Procedures
These steps of Manual Facial Massage include:
1. Consultation: The esthetician assesses the client’s skin type, concerns, and goals to customize the treatment.
2. Cleansing: The skin is cleansed to remove makeup, dirt, and impurities using a gentle cleanser appropriate for the client’s skin type.
3. Exfoliation: A scrub or exfoliating product is applied to slough off dead skin cells, unclog pores, and reveal smoother, brighter skin.
4. Massage: A facial massage is performed using 5 techniques to relax facial muscles, improve circulation, and promote lymphatic drainage.
5. Mask: A mask suited to the client’s skin type and concerns is applied to hydrate, purify, or address specific skin issues.
6. Serums and Treatments: Targeted serums, ampoules, or treatments are applied to address specific skin concerns, such as aging, acne, or hyperpigmentation.
7. Moisturization: A moisturizer is applied to hydrate and protect the skin, followed by sunscreen during daytime treatments.

There are 5 techniques we use;
1. Classical facial massage is a traditional massage technique performed on the face and neck to improve circulation, relax muscles, and rejuvenate the skin. It typically involves gentle, rhythmic movements such as effleurage (long, sweeping strokes), petrissage (kneading or lifting motions), and tapotement (light tapping or percussive movements). Classical facial massage aims to promote relaxation, reduce tension, and enhance the overall appearance of the skin by stimulating blood flow and lymphatic drainage.
2. Shiatsu facial massage is a therapeutic technique based on the principles of Japanese Shiatsu massage, focusing on applying pressure to specific points on the face and neck to promote relaxation and balance in the body’s energy flow. During a Shiatsu facial massage, the therapist uses their fingers, palms, and thumbs to apply gentle pressure to key acupressure points, known as “tsubos,” along the meridians of the face and neck. This massage technique aims to release tension, improve circulation, and enhance the overall health and appearance of the skin, while also promoting a sense of well-being and relaxation.
3. Skin smoothing facial massage is a technique designed to improve the texture and appearance of the skin by stimulating circulation, promoting lymphatic drainage, and encouraging the production of collagen and elastin. This type of massage typically involves gentle, repetitive movements such as effleurage (long, sweeping strokes), kneading, and tapping, applied to the face and neck using the fingertips or specialized massage tools. Skin smoothing facial massage aims to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, firm and tone the skin, and enhance overall skin radiance and vitality.
4. Facial muscles strengthening refers to exercises and techniques aimed at toning and firming the muscles of the face and neck. These exercises often involve repetitive movements and resistance training targeting specific facial muscles, such as those around the mouth, eyes, and forehead. By engaging in regular facial muscle strengthening exercises, individuals aim to improve muscle tone, enhance facial contours, and reduce the appearance of sagging or drooping skin.
5. Jacquet-Leroy pinching, also known as Jacquet-Leroy massage or pinching technique, is a facial massage technique developed by French cosmetologist Jacquet-Leroy. It involves using a pinching motion with the fingers to gently lift and manipulate the skin, particularly in areas prone to wrinkles and sagging, such as the cheeks, jawline, and forehead. This technique aims to stimulate circulation, promote lymphatic drainage, and improve the tone and texture of the skin. It is often used in facial treatments to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, tighten facial contours, and enhance overall skin firmness and radiance.
